I met Adina at a Capoeira class, in Bucharest. She brought along two puppies, who were playing in a box in the locker room while she was rehearsing. Adina found them in a plastic bag on the street and took them home. Because she lives alone, she now takes the puppies with her everywhere she goes, at work, at the capoiera class or even in restaurants. They are too young to be left alone at home.

I saw yesterday my good friends Alexandra Cosma and Alexandra Gavrila who live in a nice apartment in Cluj-Napoca. The second Alexandra shares the room with her boyfriend Arpi, whereas the other one shares the room with Ori, the sweetest cat.
I spent the morning drinking coffee with the two girls, while the cat was looking through the window at a hornet. It was sunny, although the weather forecast for the day had predicted rain. From their big, messy balcony you can see pine trees.
In the afternoon, we all gathered in the room of Alexandra and Arpi. I was writing the news for my job, Alexandra Cosma was reading a book, the other Alexandra was doing an illustration and Arpi was reading about the Republican candidate Ted Cruz who had dropped out of the US presidental elections some hours ago. Ori was sleeping on the bed.
I am most of the time alone at home, so it felt really nice being in a room with many friends, each doing their thing. Meanwhile we drank a glass of beer, and we listened to Bach's Goldberg Variations, suggested by Alexandra Cosma.
I am sure it all sounds a bit idyllic, and probably if we all shared an apartment, we'd have a lot of fights. But it was a nice day.

The Garage
Behind the wooden door, several 7-year old kids stay on a big couch, laughing and and waiting for their turn to rehearse. The place looks like a cosy mountain cabin. It’s warm, it has wool rugs, a stove, a big poster with Kurt Cobain, many books, vinyls.
Next to the the younger kids, some teenage girls just sit around a table and talk. A ninth grade boy heads to the piano and start playing a The White Stripes song. The little kids gather around him and tickle him. Everybody takes their shoes off as they enter the Garage. They move across the room in colorful socks.
The Garage has been a rehearsal place for local bands in Calarasi. Now it's a place where young kids and teenagers from a nearby school learn to play instruments and come to rehearse.
Kids are accompanied by Andrei, a music teacher and the owner of the Garage, and Ben Ellerby, a 26-year old British teacher who lives in Calarasi.
